Academic

Children and adolescents who participate in this program are between the ages of 5 and 18 years old. Currently, we have 75 children most of which come from the public education system with poor performance in tests, high levels of violence, and academic lag. About 5% of the participants come from private schools. This program offers a support and training space for parents and caregivers. Check out the published works of students who are part of the English tutoring program.

Psychosocial

Support services include psychological services, counseling services, nursing services, social work services, and referrals to specialists. Health fairs are arranged and offer alternative medical interventions, mammograms, and counseling as well as testing for HIV, blood pressure, and glucose.

Sociocultural

An average of 200 children are impacted per year, between the ages of 5-18 years, and the summer camp “Al Son de la Madre Tierra” is held annually and provides help for children with a diagnosis of Autism.

Sports promotes the development of responsibility, teamwork, and discipline together with the practice and awareness of a healthy lifestyle.

“An older participant is already finishing her university degree and she helps with our social networks. It’s very cool to know that there are young people who bring a different perspective to the project.”
